Our Big Boy

Well our boy is over 4 months old now and oh how time has passed so quickly! He is amazing! I have gone back to work now and have an amazing woman who cares for my little man each day. Even though going back to work was incredibly difficult, picking my son up each day with a smile that could light up the world is the best feeling ever. Kyle continues his great work at the church. He has had an amazing hayride with the church, parent's night out at the church and multiple events with the youth. We are looking forward to our first Christmas with Walt and all that it will bring. Below are some pictures over the past few months!

Hard To Believe

It is hard to believe that my little boy is already a month old now. It feels like yesterday that we were in the hospital looking at our little boy for the first time. Walt changes each day! I love being at home with him and watching him eat, sleep and love life each day. Being a mother has to be the most amazing feeling in a world second only to being a wife. God has blessed us more than we could ever imagine. Today Walt and I spent the day at home and then went over to Kyle's office for a little while to spend some time with him. Tomorrow is picture day. Hill Photography will be taking all of Walt's pictures for the first year. Kyle and I are excited about seeing the memories they create for us through pictures. Below are a few pictures from the last few days.

Walter Raymond Hopper

With all the craziness of having a baby - the blog has not been updated. Walter Raymond Hopper arrived on July 26, 2009 at 6:46 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 20 inches long. After having contractions for 4 days and waiting for them to get to the 5 minute mark, my water broke at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning and we headed to the hospital.
Walter dealt with jaundice significantly that left us visiting the pediatrician every day for 6 days getting his foot pricked and bloodwork done. We had a scary first week when his jaundice level peaked at 21.5 but he is on the mend now. He has picked up weight and is more alert than ever.
It is the first week with no company and just mommy and Walt. We are looking forward to mommy and me time! Walt has AMAZING grandparents and aunts and uncles who have been to see him and have helped with him!

The Ararat Shower - what a blessing!
A beautiful shower at Katie's

We are down to the last few days. We have had showers, birth classes, painted the nursery, bought a video camera and tried to prepare Colonel - all that is left is going into labor and our new little joy to arrive! We have 18 days before our due date and could not be more excited. We are down to weekly doctor's appointments and go tomorrow to see how things are progressing. We have been blessed with such an amazing pregnancy and wonderful friends and family supporting us! We thought we would share a few pictures from the last couple of months since we have not done so hot in updating on a regular basis!

Project Acts

Project ACTS is a local mission project that Ararat does with 12 other churches in the area. We all stay at one of the local churches and complete mission projects throughout the city for a week. This year over 170 students participated and 11 came from Ararat. We are so proud of our kids for being missions-oriented and cannot wait for next Project ACTS. Here are a few of the pictures.
