The Ararat Shower - what a blessing!
A beautiful shower at Katie's

We are down to the last few days. We have had showers, birth classes, painted the nursery, bought a video camera and tried to prepare Colonel - all that is left is going into labor and our new little joy to arrive! We have 18 days before our due date and could not be more excited. We are down to weekly doctor's appointments and go tomorrow to see how things are progressing. We have been blessed with such an amazing pregnancy and wonderful friends and family supporting us! We thought we would share a few pictures from the last couple of months since we have not done so hot in updating on a regular basis!

Project Acts

Project ACTS is a local mission project that Ararat does with 12 other churches in the area. We all stay at one of the local churches and complete mission projects throughout the city for a week. This year over 170 students participated and 11 came from Ararat. We are so proud of our kids for being missions-oriented and cannot wait for next Project ACTS. Here are a few of the pictures.

Easter and Spring Fun!

The Last Three Months in Review

My how time flies when you are having fun! It feels like yesterday when I tried to update my blog and decided I would make the resolution to keep you all updated in this way! So the pregnancy could not be disguised now - it looks like I have a rubber ball in my belly! :) We have had Easter with family, a surprise shower with our seminary friends, two baby showers in Louisville with family and friends, our brother in law has graduated from medical school, Kyle's best man in our wedding graduated from law school, and we have officially started the summer with one youth week-long mission project complete. I will post pictures in installments so I can try and keep them separate! During the month of June we will have Kyle's birthday, Colonel's birthday, my birthday, a block party at the church, Vacation Bible School, and youth camp along with attempting to finish the baby's room and prepare for our new joy along with working full time! I can't say that I will update this daily but I will try and post pictures at least so that you all can see the way in which our lives continued to be blessed!

Our 8-10 Inches of Snow in Tennessee

Last night began the snow of West Tennessee. If you know much about West Tennessee, you know that they rarely get significant snow fall. Yesterday Ann, Katie and I attended the Women of Hope conference in Memphis and had a great day. I left shortly after lunch since the weather "officials" were talking about the snow we would receive. Not too long after I returned home, we got a call from Corky and Susanne who said that I-40 was looking pretty bad and we offered to let them crash here and wait out the snow and crazy drivers. An hour and 20 minutes later (30 miles) they arrived to the home with snow in tow. It snowed for many hours last night and ended up with 9-10 inches here in Huntersville. Colonel did not know what to make of the snow today but by the end of the day was playing and sticking his head constantly in the snow. Hope this pics can bring you a laugh for today!

Delay in Post!

So it has been a few months since any posts have rolled out of the Hopper house. Much has happened since our last post including our BIG news that coming in August, Baby Hopper will join us on the Lilypad! Our home computer has been infected with a virus which means at least for the time being, no pictures :(

Kyle has headed to Missouri to help Ashby (one of our wonderful seminary friends) with diaster relief and his hometown has been slammed with the ice storm with no power expected for at least 6-9 more days. Ashby is feeling the pressure that Kyle did almost one year ago when the tornado swept through Jackson. There is no place Kyle would rather be that assisting another minister with what was such a large task for him a year ago. Mandy and the girls are at our house staying warm and playing at the church. We are so grateful for friends!

Hopefully, I will be able to post some pictures soon from the last couple of months.
